WaWaWa

Headed to 85 for dinner last night & bought some chocolate cream tarts for Sher & Cher!
These tarts were what we loved back when we were in secondary school!
It's not the best tart but there's really nothing that can beat some old-schooled memories of the earlier days.

Gathered with the Mavis bunch after dinner!
It's been what? 5 years since we graduated from Mavis/secondary school.
Damn we are old.

With this bunch of people, we can really talk cock for hours one eh.
Wawawa @ Bedok Reservoir was really a nice & chill place, perfect setting.
We sat & chat about everything from school to cameras, CPF & practically everything.
Love meetups like these!

Diamonds X Fika

Finally after a loooongggg time, the Diamonds gathered! Whee~
All made possible by their spontaneous responses.
Fika was the location for our Christmas '13 gathering.
Cosy & with the perfect company.

Dinner was really good! Would love to head back there again soon.

And right after dinner, it was the moment Santarina YP & I were super excited about!
GIFT TIME!
This year, we decided to do away with the secret santa we did last year because everyone had busy schedules and we (YP & I) thought we'd prepare a little something for everyone else.

TADAH! NICE RIGHT, RIGHT, RIGHT?
Super proud of ourselves for it. *thick-skinned*
Saw the idea on Etsy & Pinterest.
With the help of my superman dad, we managed to customize stickers and pulled together the parts to make everyone a Mason jar mug! Apart from that, we added a Diamond die-cut sticker to remind one another that we'll always be together as the Diamonds. 💎

This group of people are really precious.
Despite the 3 years of Poly together, it was after the entire course that we bonded and grew closer.
Friendships like that can't be bought.

Johnathan's 21st

It was my dear Johnathan's 21st party slightly over a week ago!
I decided on a theme: Dress Like Johnathan. Hehehe!
(And since the birthday boy isn't very fond of photos, there weren't many taken that evening.)

Whisky-shaped fresh cream cake!

Since he's always known for his Esprit tee, a few of us got the Esprit tees to best suit the theme.

With the dear Diamonds.

And the darls dropped by later in the evening!

Change

For those of you who follow my Instagram, you probably already know I made a change.
I lost the 5 colours in my hair and I now have 2 shades in my hair, a chestnut brown base & a sort of dark grey/blue colour to cover the bright pinks/purples/whatnots.

Lovin' the new do soooo much cause my hair looks 10,000x healthier & it's so easy to maintain now! ^^

A Treasured Friendship

Met up with Joan for some brunch @ Coastal Settlement about 2 weeks ago and caught up
with whatever we've been up to lately with uni and all.

It's not often you get a girlfriend that you can easily pick up a conversation with,
despite a long distance and a long time since you last met/spoke!
Thankful for the friendship we have! <3

Bangkok Nov/Dec '13

Took a 2-night trip to +66 with my family on the last days of Nov & start of Dec.
It was a really short trip plus the riot was on-going.

The main objectives were to eat, shop & go to the Erawan Shrine.
Thus, all images are of food.

Oh, I loveeee their macs family box. Why? CAUSE IT'S SO COLOURFUL!

Hong Kong Day 3 & 4 & 5

Day 3: Shopping and eating

The day began with us deciding to travel about by MTR and stopping by the many malls around the more central areas of hk! Mainly to get to Stylenanda & the various malls like New Town Mall at Mongkok.

We saw the ironladychef's posts on Instagram and decided to visit this cafe!

The food was average & personally I think the one near our hotel was better!
After that we headed to Mongkok for some shopping but to our disappointment, 80% of the stalls are closed and only opens late in the afternoon. Boooo.

So we headed to have 许留山 for desserts! I'm starting to become a mango lovin' person so I think it was really refreshing and the mangoes were sweet.

After our whole day of walking, we took a trip to Yat Lok Roast Goose (Located at Stanley Street) for the SUPERB roast goose drumstick noodles. Worth the walk.

I'm salivating right now typing this post.

Day 4: Ocean Park

Breakfast was right around the corner of our hotel again!

Ocean Park was really easy to get to from our hotel, just an MTR stop away from the hotel (if I remember correctly) and a bus ride was convenient.

I wasn't really expecting Ocean Park to be any much fun like Disneyland. But I was wrong!

The aquarium was the first stop for our visit!

Jellyfishes will always be my favourite, other than stingrays, to look at when at an aquarium.

THE FLASHHHH. I absolutely loveeeee this ride! It's my favourite at the park!
(Okay, no. I have 3 favourites I can't rank.)
Thanks to the small crowd, we got to take this ride a total of about... 4x?

The Hair Raiser was super thrilling and I love it so much! Hehehe! Rode this 2x!

This spinning wheel cart thingy, on the other hand, I didn't really enjoy so much.

It was a waste this ride was under maintenance. Would've been fun with the view from up there though.

Thanks to the super crowded up-ward cable care queue, we took a really long time to finally get on it!

So from afar we saw that crazy-ass 20 storey drop ride and we were like 'OMG WE HAVE TO TAKE THAT' & we headed in the direction of that immediately.

Nothing beats a coke slushie in the cold weather!

Meh the weak me sat out of the viking cause I was feeling a tiny bit queasy after the 2-3 times of The Flash in a row!

And then...

We finally made our way to The Abyss.
I swear this was the most thrilling ride everrrrrrr.
We took the ride 3x and all 3x with almost all the same passengers going again-&-again.
Best. Ever.

Well, that was the perfect end to our visit and then we headed back to our hotel's vicinity to go on a food journey! Everything we ate.. From curry fishballs, to desserts & fried chicken cutlets.

Day 5: Our final day at HK.

After a really good porridge breakfast, we headed for outlet shopping and then headed to the airport!

Well, the entire trip was super enjoyable and I loved the company and our adventures together!
I certainly will visit HK again.. Soon, hopefully.
Hehehehe!
& this marks the end of my HK travel log!
