Hong Kong Day 1: Avenue of Stars

I've been super excited to blog about my trip to HK this month!
It was super fun and wonderful. Thankful for my travelmates Yan Ping & Imes!
So we scowled the streets for food & wrecked Disneyland and Ocean Park till we were almost paralyzed from walking. Hahahaha!
So, here's the post for Day #1 where our itinerary included our flight, food and HK's Ave of Stars!
Oh, and be warned, the HK posts will be bombed with TONS of images, both necessary and unnecessay.

Our lodging was the same hotel I went to last year, Butterfly on Victoria. Cosy and very accessible.
TONS of awesome food in the area too!
First meal in HK was the Wanton Mee I absolutely loveeeee.
I had no idea that Wanton was supposed to contain only prawns
(instead of minced meat like here in SG).
This Wanton Mee is very addictive. It may look like a really small portion, but it is all we needed to be attracted enough for us to be back for another later on in our trip.

After our meal, we has a little rest time in the hotel and headed to 尖沙咀 (Tsim Sha Tsui), Avenue of Stars for the light show as well as to see the stars!

We just had to do this. But it was SOOO embarrassing that we fled the scene right after this shot. HAHAHAHAHA.

The non-stop wind was always messing our hair.

(Fact about Renee: Jacky Cheung was my favourite singer when I was a kid.
I learnt to sing his songs when I started talking. I was a super annoying/talkative/noisy kid.)

I'd like to think that all Lees are related, so here's my distant relative's star.

Because we were very early, we waited around for the famous light show to begin.
But thanks to the very very cloudy setting....

Those were the best views we had. It was rather disappointing but oh well. The weather was beyond anyone's control.

After that, we had our first dinner at a 茶餐廳 right downstairs of our hotel.

Day 1 was more of adapting to the area and finding our way around the hotel area.
Day 2 was where all the magic happened! Can't wait to post it.
