Our Day 3 in Tokyo began with KFC breakfast!
Following our breakfast, we took the subway to Shibuyua!
The famous Shibuya Crossing!
It's a shame we didn't go shopping in that area though!
Just stopped by because I insisted on viewing the Shibuya Crossing and take touristy shots.
Tickets for the journey towards Sensoji Temple!
A little about the Sensō-ji temple:
It's Tokyo's oldest and one of the most significant temples.
During the WWII, it was bombed and destroyed, but later rebuilt as a symbol of rebirth and peace to the Japanese.
(Source: Wikipedia, because it knows everything.)
On our foot journey towards the temple, we had to walk through a street of shops selling all kinds of souvenir and trinkets.
The coolest umbrellas ever. If you look closely, the upper part of the umbrella has floral prints while the lower parts dont. Why? BECAUSE IT IS ONLY VISIBLE WHEN IT COMES IN CONTACT WITH WATER. Japanese and their creations. Too pretty.
The temple is really huge and apart from its main temple structures, there were also street food stalls along the sides of the buildings.
This lantern has the Chinese/Japanese characters 雷門 written on them. It's an icon but was retracted for the event they were having!
So while I was busy snapping this picture, I was thinking 'why the crowd around the left pillar?'
Being a kaypo Singaporean, I went into the crowd. Lo and behold....
This kitty was sitting there elegantly, like it was there to flaunt its beauty!
I think the cat belongs there and someone is taking care of it!
Googled 'sensoji cat' and a photo of the same cat with a different neck piece popped up.
Their celebration caused a huge crowd all over the exit and streets outside of the temple's gates.
Not quite sure what the celebration was for though!
Moving on from Sensō-ji, we headed to Harajuku, in hopes of seeing people in their cosplay outfits!
Unfortunately, despite a long walk, we didn't see any. Maybe we were on the wrong side of Harajuku or something. It's a shame though.
Stopped at a burger bar for our lunch! It was a little Hawaii-inspired restaurant tucked away on the second floor of a small building.
But the burgers.. THE BOMB.
It was sooooo good!
Disappointed with the failed hunt of the cosplayers, we headed back to our hotel for a tiny mid-day rest before going to Takashimaya and Tokyu Hands for the evening.
Got ourselves some Krispy Kreme for breakfast too!
Chloe & I had curry for dinner while dad & mum had the udon from the first day!
Vending machine operated ordering system!
Thank goodness for English words.
The generous portion of food got me feeling all bloated but satisfied!
On our way back to the hotel, we spotted a pretty car with a pretty number plate!

I've returned from my Bali trip and Malaysia trip for over a week now and I am still missing Bali a whole lot.
School's about to start next week.
I've gone for an interview for a part-time job.
There're a million things I want to do but there's no time.
Our new place is done with furnishing and we should be moving in a bit.
So that's like my life in a nutshell now.
