Japan '14, Tokyo - Day 4

One day tour with local Sunrise Tours to Fuji & one it's 5 lakes!
So basically it was a bus tour and then we took a one way bullet train back to Tokyo and Shinjuku!

The first sighting was at a rest stop along the way to the observatory.

Caught some of the final remnants of the sakuras!

After a very mountainous drive up Fuji's lower mountains & hills,
we got to about 2,300m above sea level to the Fuji's 5th station.

It's the highest point that any automobile is allowed and it's one of the best places to view Mt Fuji.

Facing away from Fuji.
Unfortunately, the fog was soooooooo thick we didnt get to see Fuji from here at all.

I was damn upset cause it meant that the day was wasted.

Fuji KitKat!

We had lunch at a resort at the foot of the mountain before heading out to Lake Kawaguchiko, one of Fuji's Five Lakes.

We took a boat ride on the lake and headed for a cable car ride to the top of a hill to have one last look at Fuji before heading back.

The fog cleared up while we were on the boat ride but came back a while later! Booooo.

Mt. Kachi Kachi Ropeway was the ride up to see Fuji!

From the top of the mountain, we could see the whole of the lake! How beautiful.

The fog was still very persistent.

And right before we left...

BEHOLD! THE BEAUTIFUL FUJI-SAN.
It's so gorgeous!!
(This & the next picture was actually taken with the Pentax Q7 + 06 Telephoto.)

It's so pretty righttttt????

On our descent, the sun shone even brighter than before on the lake.

So the tour ended and we headed off to the Shinkansen Tracks for our bullet train ride!

We had dinner at Takashimaya's food level, at a western restaurant.

Not quite sure if the food was good cause we were hungry or what.
But then again, everything is Japan tastes exceptionally good.....
